    We have an openings for a 2nd shift Brake Press Operator, hours: 2:20pm-10:50pm, Monday — Friday and 3rd shift Brake Press Operator, hours 10:00pm - 6:30am, Monday - Friday at our Johnson Creek, WI location. This is an hourly position reporting to the shift lead with a starting pay of $16.50/hour with a $.75/hour shift differential for 2nd shift and $3.00/hour shift differential for 3rd shift on hours worked.


    The Brake Press Operator is responsible to set up, adjust and operate brake presses to produce parts in accordance with instructions.



    • Set up, check programs and operate automatic numerically controlled machines to perform a complex series of progressive operations to meet precise tolerance and requirements
    • Understand program format
    • Arrange and secure tooling
    • Mount, align and secure holding fixtures
    • Set stops, calibrate fixture to appropriate reference points
    • Manually cycle machine through operation sequence to check fixture and work positions, tooling, clearances, speeds, feeds, etc.
    • Adjust machine or console to correct deviations
    • May set up and instruct other machine operators
    • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check part quality
    • Team player - must possess a “can do” attitude and must be able to work with others and assist as necessary
    • Accountable for work flow. Maintain parts flow per Kanban guidelines and department work rules
    • Support data collection and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities
    • Perform and maintain high quality standards. Cross train between operations
    • Validate work is complete as stated in Standard Work and or Work Instructions
    • Participate in any 5S/Lean projects and objectives set for each area. Assist in driving improvements by offering suggestions to eliminate waste from work areas
    • Follow all necessary Quality System procedures and work instructions
    • Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures
    • Maintain cleanliness of area
    • Other duties as assigned



    • High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent experience
    • Previous Brake Press or Machine Shop experience
    • Solid Communication Skills; proficient English Written and Verbal communication skills
    • Basic computer skills


    • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
    • Frequent noise (hearing protection as required)
    • Occasional push/pull up to 40 pounds of force
    • Constant standing, occasional walking
    • Frequent to constant bending at the waist, occasional twisting
    • Constant light grasping, occasional power grip
