    Expanding Assembly Facility is looking to train self-motivated individual with the right skills for a Quality Technician position. We’re looking for a mechanically skilled individual with the desire to fit into a well-established production environment. Basic Computer skills and working knowledge of Measuring Inspection equipment is a plus.

     

    Position Summary:

     

    The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring quality products are produced and shipped by establishing and enforcing quality standards and procedures throughout all processes in the Schiller Grounds Care Southampton, PA production plant. In addition, this position will monitor the quality of all products by auditing, measuring, inspecting, and testing in-process and final products to customer and SGC standards. This position is also required to evaluate incoming parts and returned products.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Receiving Inspection; sample incoming parts against drawing and purchase order requirements
    • Verify dimensional, material, process and finish requirements of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) samples
    • Perform line inspections during production process
    • Maintain product inspection documentation
    • Troubleshoot and resolve quality related production line issues
    • Process NCR’s (Non-Conformance Reports) and resolve supplier responsible issues
    • Perform root cause analysis of defects on returned products
    • Determine recoverability of returned products and complete repairs as necessary
    • Maintain Gage Calibration System, including calibration of micrometers, calipers and other measuring equipment

    Qualifications

    Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 5 plus years of parts and assemblies inspections within a commercial or consumer manufacturing environment
    • Proficient personal computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
    • Ability to interpret blueprints and proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers and other measuring equipment
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Experience with the use of an ERP system is helpful (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
    • Mechanical skills and ability to work in a hands on team environment
