    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing profitable sales, market share, and brand strength by developing assigned territories and/or channels to meet company objectives. This person will plan and coordinate with dealers and the company to develop and execute effective strategies, and foster strong sustainable relationships with dealers and customers.  They will build up and protect the brand by ensuring customer satisfaction and become an expert on brand products and competitors, communicating market information, territory performance, and trends as requested by management.

     

    This position will be based out of Raleigh, NC with consistent travel around the Midwest and Southern US.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

     

    • Assist in preparing and executing plans to achieve sales goals and other key business objectives for assigned SGC brands in the region. Key objectives include but are not limited to achieving revenue, profit, growth, dealer coverage, market share, unit volume and product mix targets
    • Take the leadership role in territory and dealer development to reach sustainable targets
    • Align points of contact from all factory departments with counterparts at the dealerships and ensure the work of respective areas is executed for the success of the dealer with Schiller brands
    • Make sure brand image and all products are represented well in the store and in dealer marketing materials including print, digital, and web. Ensure all promotions are highlighted in the dealer’s store and website when applicable
    • Ensure dealers are trained in product knowledge for sales, marketing, and product support (parts, service & warranty)
    • Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by forecasting and ensuring dealer inventories are maintained; making joint sales calls and demos with dealers; planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
    • Participate in customer relations, particularly those involving quality/service and delivery issues to ensure satisfied customers
    • Evaluate and communicate competitive offerings (i.e. product and marketing offerings) in the territory
    • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Contributes marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
    • Support regional and national tradeshows the company participates in
    • Provide weekly and other reports as deemed necessary to achieve objectives

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

     

    • BS in Agriculture, Marketing or Business preferred  
    • 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in Golf or OPE industry
    • Knowledge of Golf dealer needs and requirements
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proven track record of sales development and marketing creativity
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time
    • Ability to trailer equipment and travel with a trailer safely
